Lyndhurst Village Decorations Committee

Christmas will soon be upon us and without the Christmas Decorations the Village will be an uninteresting “Black Hole”.

Question.  Who makes this happen every year?

Answer.  A team of dedicated volunteers giving their time and effort throughout the year, checking, repairing, reordering and erecting the various displays. They are supplemented by a professional electrician.

All this of course comes at a financial cost which is obtained partly from some of the local traders, by sponsorship, by fund raising and by donation.

The annual bill for supplying trees, replacing and enhancing equipment together with the costs of the electrician, insurances and other admin items still come close to £10,000-00 per year.

Year on year it is becoming more difficult and expensive to comply with ever increasing regulations. As a dedicated Committee we are determined to keep the tradition of the “Lyndhurst Lights” alive but will not be able to look to the future without your help and support.

To make a financial donation cheques or cash can be handed in to the Community Centre in a sealed envelope or delivered to Joan Bisson @ 45 The Meadows, Lyndhurst.

(Cheques payable to Lyndhurst Village Decorations Committee).
